The start time for subscriptions will vary according to the publisher's own policy. The list below gives the approximate start times for each of the titles currently on our list. magazines-shop.de process and forward orders to publishers in the week they are received.
US Publishers: Frequently, US monthly titles take up to 16 weeks to start service. This is because the publisher will only print as many copies of the magazine as there are customers who have a subscription. Subscriber labels are run one or two months before the issue is printed. For example, if you order in January, you may not get onto the subscription label run until March.
British & European Publishers: British & European publishers depend less on subscriptions and more on the news trade for their sales. This means that subscribers can be added quickly to the magazine print order without any great additional cost to the publisher. This is reflected in typical start times of four to eight weeks.
Should you wish to cancel your subscription at any time you will need to contact us and we will arrange the cancellation. You would normally receive a refund for any outstanding issues. You need to allow time for delivery of the magazines to cease as subscription label runs are done in advance. Our terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
Please Note: This policy does not apply to Economist subscriptions which we are unable to offer refunds.
All publishers have a 2 to 3 month claim period for missing issues.

Our website will show you how many issues you should expect in your subscription
For most monthly magazines you will receive twelve issues in a year. Some publishers change the frequency of the magazine from time to time. We will always endeavour to ensure that you receive the full number of copies that you have paid for.
Please note that many weekly publications publish a 'double issue' during the Christmas period. This counts as two issues, even though you receive one. For example, a one year subscription to The Economist is listed as 52 issues, the Christmas issue counts as two of those issues.
Some weekly publishers also decide to produce double issues in the Summer period. This is usually clearly noted on the front of the magazine.
We not usually get advance notification of publication frequency changes. Please feel free to call us if you have any questions about the actual number of issues you will receive for a particular subscription order.
